AIR BAGS: AIR BAG/RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The air bag control module in your vehicle is like the brain that decides when to deploy the air bags and seat belt pretensioners during a crash. In certain models from 2011-2018, this module might not work as it should, which could prevent the air bags from inflating or the seat belts from tightening.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bags and/or seat belts don't work as intended in a crash, you could be at a higher risk of serious injury. This could be life-threatening, especially in severe collisions.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect and update the air bag control module by installing a noise filter as needed, completely free of charge. You can expect a second letter with the repair details to arrive between March 16 and June 27, 2020.

TIRES:TEMPORARY/EMERGENCY SPARE TIRE

Manufacturer
Gulf States Toyota, Inc.
What Happened
Your temporary spare tire is the extra tire on the back of your vehicle, designed to get you to a safe place in case of a flat. In certain 2017 models, this spare tire wasn't inflated to the correct pressure, as shown on the tire pressure label.
Risk if Unfixed
If your spare tire isn't properly inflated, it might not handle the road as well as it should, making it harder to steer and stop your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will check your spare tire's air pressure and adjust it as needed, at no cost to you. This is a free repair that you should schedule as soon as you get the recall notice.
