FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The low-pressure fuel pump in your vehicle is a part that delivers gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, this pump can fail without warning while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly shut off — you'll lose power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a collision.
Free Fix
Your Toyota or Lexus dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump assembly with a new, improved one at no cost to you. The repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
