EXTERIOR LIGHTING Safety Recalls

Moderate #25V403000 Plain English
Component

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
Your Lincoln Navigator's headlight control module is like a computer that manages the lights on your vehicle. The software in this module might not be working properly, which affects the side markers and daytime running lights.
Risk if Unfixed
If the lights fail, your vehicle becomes harder to see, especially at night or in low-light conditions. This could increase the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the headlight control module software for free, so you don't have to pay a thing. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice in the mail.

What Happened
The headlight control module is the brain that controls your Lincoln Navigator's headlights and turn signals. In some 2022 models, a software glitch can cause the side markers and daytime running lights to turn off.
Risk if Unfixed
If your side markers and daytime running lights fail while driving, it's harder for other drivers to see you, especially at dawn or dusk. This could lead to a higher risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will update the headlight control module software and recalibrate the headlights to ensure all lights are working properly – at no cost to you. You should schedule the fix as soon as you get the recall notice.
