Component
FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY
Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The CNG tank in your vehicle is made of a special material that holds compressed gas. In a severe interior fire, the tank might get unevenly heated, which could prevent the safety valve from working correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the tank could rupture, leading to a possible explosion and the tank being ejected from the vehicle, which could cause serious injury or property damage.
Free Fix
Your dealer will install a heat shield material to the rear seat to prevent uneven heating in case of a fire — this is a free repair. You'll get a notice when the parts are available and can schedule the repair then.
