Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The CNG tank in your vehicle is a specialized container that holds compressed natural gas. It's located in the rear of your car, near the rear seat.
Risk if Unfixed
If a fire breaks out in the rear seat area, the uneven heat could cause the tank to rupture, leading to a potentially explosive event that might eject the tank from the vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will add heat insulation to the rear seat back to prevent this issue. This repair is free, and you should schedule it when you receive the second notification letter.
