Component
FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY
Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The CNG tank in your vehicle stores compressed gas. In certain cases, a severe interior fire near the rear seat could cause uneven heating, which might prevent the safety valve from working properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the tank could rupture, leading to an explosion that could eject the tank from the vehicle, putting you and others at risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will add a heat-insulating material to the rear seat back to prevent uneven heating. This repair is free, and you will be notified when parts are available to have the work done.
