What Happened
The front seat belt anchors in your vehicle hold the seat belt in place. Some of these anchors were installed with a faulty washer that can make the belt move incorrectly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seat belt isn't in the right position, you could be at greater risk of injury during a crash, which could be serious.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will check the front seat belt anchors to make sure they're moving freely. If not, they'll replace the faulty washer with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule this inspection as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, SOME FRONT SEAT BELT ANCHORS MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED WITH AN INCORRECT WASHER, WHICH COULD RESTRICT ANCHOR MOVEMENT. AS A RESULT, THE SEAT BELT MAY BE IMPROPERLY POSITIONED FOR CERTAIN OCCUPANTS.

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FRONT SEAT BELT ANCHORS FOR RESTRICTED MOVEMENT. IF AN ANCHOR DOES NOT ROTATE FREELY, THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE WASHER WITH A COUNTERMEASURE WASHER. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 24, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
