Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
Your vehicle has a computer system called the Image Processing Module A (IPMA), which helps with features like the rearview camera and driver assistance systems. In some 2022-2025 Lincoln models, this system can malfunction and reset unexpectedly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the IPMA fails, you'll lose the rearview camera image and certain safety features like pre-collision assist and blind-spot monitoring. This could make it harder for you to spot hazards, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Lincoln dealer will update the IPMA software for free. You can also receive the update through an over-the-air update. Look for a notification letter from Ford and schedule a visit to your dealer when you receive it.
