ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The integrated trailer brake control in your vehicle manages the lights and brakes on your trailer when you're towing. In some 2021-2026 F-150, F-250, and other Ford and Lincoln models, this system can lose connection with the vehicle, causing issues with trailer lights and brakes.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your trailer's brake lights and turn signals might not work, and the trailer brakes could fail. This makes it harder for you to control the trailer and increases the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will update the software in your vehicle's integrated trailer module for free, either in the dealership or through an over-the-air update. You should schedule this fix as soon as you get the recall notice — it's free, and it'll ensure your trailer's lights and brakes work properly.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The brake lines in your Navigator or Expedition carry brake fluid from the master cylinder to your wheels. In some 2022-2024 models, these lines can get damaged by the engine air cleaner outlet pipe.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake lines get damaged, brake fluid could leak out, and your brakes won't work properly. This could cause you to lose control of your vehicle, especially in an emergency stop, and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the brake lines and replace them or the air cleaner outlet pipe, if needed, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
