What Happened
The brake lines in your Navigator or Expedition carry brake fluid from the master cylinder to your wheels. In some 2022-2024 models, these lines can get damaged by the engine air cleaner outlet pipe.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake lines get damaged, brake fluid could leak out, and your brakes won't work properly. This could cause you to lose control of your vehicle, especially in an emergency stop, and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the brake lines and replace them or the air cleaner outlet pipe, if needed, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
