ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION
Manufacturer

What Happened
The engine cup plug in your vehicle is a small part that helps keep oil inside your engine. In some 2024-2025 F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator models, this plug might be misaligned, causing a fast oil leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If there's a rapid oil leak, your engine could stall while driving, which increases the risk of a crash. In a worst-case scenario, an oil leak near a hot engine or exhaust component could ignite, causing a fire.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will check the engine cup plug alignment and replace it if needed – at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
