What Happened
The engine cup plug in your F-150, Expedition, or Navigator is a small part that keeps oil in your engine. In some 2024-2025 models, this plug might not be seated properly, causing a rapid oil leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the oil leak happens while you're driving, your engine could stall, making it hard to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. If oil spills onto hot engine components, it could also ignite and cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the engine cup plug and replace it if needed, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
