What Happened
The engine cup plug in your F-150, Expedition, or Navigator is a small part that keeps oil in your engine. In some 2024-2025 models, this plug might not be seated properly, causing a rapid oil leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the oil leak happens while you're driving, your engine could stall, making it hard to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. If oil spills onto hot engine components, it could also ignite and cause a fire.
