What Happened

Risk if Unfixed
If the input shaft fails, it can lock up your rear wheel, making it harder to steer and control your motorcycle. This could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the computer system that controls your engine, and this service is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you receive the recall notice.

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPER
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The front brake caliper is a critical part of your motorcycle's braking system. In some 2019-2020 BMW motorcycles, this caliper can leak brake fluid when the bike is parked.
Risk if Unfixed
If the caliper leaks, the brake fluid level in your reservoir can drop. Over time, this could impair your brakes' performance, making it harder to stop, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will inspect and replace the front brake caliper with a more reliable one, at no cost to you. They'll take care of this important repair as soon as possible, and you'll be notified when it's done.
