What Happened
The master headlight switch on your Jeep Grand Cherokee or Grand Cherokee L is the control that lets you switch between low and high beams. In some 2023-2024 models, this switch can make it hard to quickly turn on high beams when you need to.
Risk if Unfixed
If you can't quickly turn on high beams, especially at night or in low-visibility conditions, it could reduce your visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Your Jeep dealer will adjust the high beam settings on your vehicle to ensure they work as intended - and it's free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice you received on March 7, 2024.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. When the master headlight switch is set to the AUTO position, the driver may be unable to quickly activate the high beams. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Dealers will reconfigure the vehicle high beam parameters, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 12B.
