What Happened
The high voltage battery in your Jeep Wrangler or Grand Cherokee 4Xe is a critical component that powers your electric motor. It's possible that this battery could fail internally while parked or driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the battery fails, it could cause a vehicle fire, which could lead to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the battery software and replace the battery if necessary, all at no cost to you. For now, park your vehicle outside and away from buildings, and avoid charging it until the repair is done.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Vehicles that were previously recalled for the same issue under NHTSA Recalls 24V720 and 23V787 will need to have the new remedy performed.

What Happened
The hybrid control processor in your Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV is a computer that helps your vehicle switch between electric and gasoline power. In some 2022-2026 models, a software error could cause this computer to malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hybrid control processor fails, you could lose power while driving, which increases the risk of a crash. This could happen without warning, making it hard to control your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your authorized Jeep dealer will update the software in your hybrid control processor, free of charge. You should schedule the update as soon as possible after receiving the recall notice, and contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 with any questions.

What Happened
The instrument panel in your Grand Cherokee is the part that shows your speed and other vital information. In some 2024 models, a software glitch can make the speedometer display the wrong speed.
Risk if Unfixed
If the speedometer is wrong, you might unknowingly drive at a higher speed than you think, which could lead to a crash.

Your dealer will update the software in your instrument panel to ensure it shows the correct speed – and it's completely free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. A software error in the instrument panel cluster may cause the speedometer to display the incorrect vehicle speed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Displays and Controls."
