FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, this pump can fail without warning while you're driving, which could be a problem for you and your passengers.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails on the road, your engine will suddenly shut off — you'll lose power steering and power brakes, which could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible, and you'll receive a letter with more information.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE

Manufacturer
Braun Corporation
What Happened
Your Honda Odyssey's fuel tank stores the gasoline for your engine. Braun modified the tank in some 2018-2021 models to make it more prone to overfilling, which could cause fuel to spill into the charcoal canister.
Risk if Unfixed
If the charcoal canister gets too full of fuel, it could leak out, and in the presence of a spark, it may ignite and catch fire, putting you and others at risk.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect your vehicle for signs of a fuel leak, and if needed, replace the fuel tank assembly and charcoal canister with new ones – all at no cost to you.
