What Happened
The brake hose in your Ram 4500 or 5500 Cab Chassis is a critical safety line that carries brake fluid to the rear brakes. Unfortunately, some models have a hose that's too narrow, which could burst.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hose ruptures, your rear brakes will fail, and you'll lose control. This could cause a serious accident, especially on the highway or in emergency stops.
Free Fix
Your authorized Ram dealer will replace the faulty brake hose with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it's done at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. The rear brake hose inside diameter may be too small, which could cause the hose to rupture. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 106, "Brake Hoses."
