What Happened
The brake line in your RAM 4500/5500 is a flexible hose that carries brake fluid from the master cylinder to your rear brake calipers. In some cases, it may be damaged by the suspension system in your vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake line is damaged, it could wear out and start leaking, causing your rear brakes to fail. This could make it harder to stop your vehicle, especially when driving downhill or in an emergency situation.
Free Fix
Your dealer will install a repair kit to secure the brake line and replace any damaged lines, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
