Component

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The trailer tow module in your vehicle is a critical part that helps control your trailer's lights and brakes. In some 2024-2026 Jeep Wagoneer S and 2025-2026 Ram 1500/2500/3500/4500/5500 trucks and 2026 Jeep Cherokee models, this module was designed incorrectly, causing problems.
Risk if Unfixed
If the trailer tow module fails, your trailer's brake lights and turn signals might not work. This makes it harder for other drivers to see your trailer, and the trailer's brakes could fail, increasing the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty trailer tow module with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice, and it will be done at no cost to you.

AIR BAGS: AIR BAG/RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The occupant restraint controller module is a critical computer system that controls your air bag and seat belt. In some 2025 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks, this system has a software problem that could cause it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If this system fails, your driver's side air bag won't deploy in a crash, and you'll lose electronic stability control. This means you'll have a hard time controlling your vehicle, and you're at a higher risk of getting hurt or crashing.
Free Fix
Your Ram dealer will update the software in the occupant restraint controller module for free. This is a no-cost repair, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
