What Happened
Your vehicle's air bag and electronic stability control system might not work properly due to a software issue in the air bag control module. This module helps control the air bag and seat belt pretensioner in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash, your air bag or seat belt pretensioner might not work, which could increase your risk of injury. Driving without electronic stability control can also increase the risk of another crash.
Free Fix
A free software update will be installed by a dealership to fix the issue. You'll get a letter in the mail with instructions, and you can also contact Chrysler's customer service at 800-853-1403.
