What Happened
The sunroof glass in your Outlander, Lancer, or Lancer Evolution is the transparent panel above your head that lets in sunlight. In certain models, this glass could break loose while you're driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sunroof glass breaks off while you're driving, it could become a hazard on the road, possibly causing a crash.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will replace the sunroof glass assembly with a new one, completely free of charge. You'll get a notification when it's time to schedule the repair.

Original — What Happened
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2007-2010 Outlander, 2008-2010 Lancer, 2009-2010 Lancer Evolution, and 2010 Lancer Sportback vehicles equipped with sunroofs. The sunroof glass may detach from the sunroof assembly, becoming a road hazard to other vehicles.

If the sunroof glass detaches from the assembly while driving, it can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

What Happened
The wiper motor in your Outlander is the part that helps your windshield wipers move back and forth. Over time, water can seep into a small gap between the hood and windshield, and get inside the wiper motor, causing damage.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiper motor fails, you'll lose visibility, making it harder to see the road ahead. This increases the risk of a crash, especially in rain or snow.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will replace the wiper motor with a new one, free of charge. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice and they'll take care of it.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2007-2013 Outlander vehicles. In the affected vehicles, water may drop between the hood and the windshield and leak into the wiper motor breathing hole. The water may cause internal corrosion of the windshield wiper motor and the possible failure of the motor.

What Happened
The wiper linkages on your Outlander are the parts that connect the wiper arms to the windshield. Over time, water can seep in and cause the joints to corrode, potentially causing the wiper link to break and the wipers to stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wipers fail, you'll struggle to see the road, especially in heavy rain or snow. This makes it more likely that you'll be involved in a collision.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will seal the wiper link joint to keep water out, then inspect the wiper motor crank arm to make sure it's working smoothly. If it's not, they'll replace it for you – all at no extra cost to you.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2007-2013 Outlander vehicles manufactured September 8, 2006, to March 29, 2013. In the affected vehicles, water may enter between the hood and windshield and cause the front wiper link ball joint to corrode, possibly resulting in the wiper link separating and the wipers becoming inoperative.

MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rubber boot on the ball joint to prevent water intrusion. What Happened
The blower motor in your vehicle is the part that powers your windshield defroster. In your 2009-2011 Lancer, or other affected models, this motor could fail without warning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the blower motor fails, it could make your windshield fog up or not clear properly, reducing your visibility while driving. This could increase the risk of a crash.
