What Happened
The front wiper link is a small metal piece that helps your windshield wipers move back and forth. In older Outlanders, water can seep between the hood and windshield and corrode this link, causing it to break and leave you without wipers while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If your wipers stop working, you'll have reduced visibility and a higher risk of crashing, especially in heavy rain or snow.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will seal the wiper link from water with a new rubber boot and inspect the wiper motor arm for any play, replacing it if needed – all at no cost to you.
