What Happened
The sunroof glass in your vehicle is the clear panel that lets sunlight in. In some 2007-2010 Outlanders, 2008-2010 Lancers, 2009-2010 Lancer Evolutions, and 2010 Lancer Sportbacks, the glass can break free from its frame while driving.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sunroof glass breaks free while you're driving, it could become a hazard on the road and cause a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the sunroof glass assembly for free. You don't need to pay a thing for the repair.

Original — What Happened
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2007-2010 Outlander, 2008-2010 Lancer, 2009-2010 Lancer Evolution, and 2010 Lancer Sportback vehicles equipped with sunroofs. The sunroof glass may detach from the sunroof assembly, becoming a road hazard to other vehicles.

What Happened
The wiper motor in your Outlander is the part that powers your windshield wipers. In some 2007-2013 models, water can seep into the motor and cause it to fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiper motor fails, you'll lose visibility while driving, making it harder to see the road and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will replace the faulty wiper motor with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain 2007-2013 Outlander vehicles. In the affected vehicles, water may drop between the hood and the windshield and leak into the wiper motor breathing hole. The water may cause internal corrosion of the windshield wiper motor and the possible failure of the motor.

What Happened
The wiper linkages in your Outlander are the parts that attach your windshield wipers to the front of the car. Over time, water can seep between the hood and windshield and cause the joints to corrode.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wiper linkages corrode and fail, your windshield wipers might stop working while you're driving. This could reduce your visibility and increase your risk of being in a crash.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will inspect the wiper linkages and replace the rubber boot to keep water out, as well as check the wiper motor crank arm for any play and replace it if necessary – all at no cost to you.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is recalling certain model year 2007-2013 Outlander vehicles manufactured September 8, 2006, to March 29, 2013. In the affected vehicles, water may enter between the hood and windshield and cause the front wiper link ball joint to corrode, possibly resulting in the wiper link separating and the wipers becoming inoperative.

MMNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rubber boot on the ball joint to prevent water intrusion. In the affected vehicles, the blower motor may fail.
