Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
Manufacturer
Delphi Automotive Systems, LLC
What Happened
The fuel pump in your vehicle sends the fuel level information to your dashboard gauge. In some cases, the replacement pump (part number FG1155-11B1) may give a false reading, showing your tank is always 3/4 full or full, even when it's almost empty.
Risk if Unfixed
If you rely on the gauge and think your tank is full when it's not, you could run out of fuel on the road. This could cause your vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump module for free. You'll be notified by Delphi, but you can also contact them directly at 1-877-411-8770 with reference to recall number GL14-004.
