Component
AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE-INACTIVE
Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
Your vehicle has two sensors that help deploy the front airbags in a crash. Unfortunately, some of these sensors weren't properly sealed during production, which means water could get inside and cause damage.
Risk if Unfixed
If water gets inside the sensors, they could fail and cause your airbags to delay or not deploy at all in a frontal crash, increasing your risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your authorized Honda dealer will replace the faulty sensors for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your airbags work properly in an emergency.
