STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS
Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US LLC)
What Happened
The power steering system in your Dodge Journey has a hose that helps your steering wheel move smoothly. In your 2009-2016 model, this hose can burst when it's exposed to cold temperatures, which could happen when you start your engine in the morning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the power steering hose ruptures, you'll lose power steering assist, making it harder to steer your vehicle, especially at low speeds. This could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your Chrysler dealer will replace the faulty hose, steel tubes, and power steering oil cooler with new parts, all for free. You'll get a notification soon, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
