What Happened
The power steering hose in your Dodge Journey is a vital part that helps you steer your vehicle. Over time, this hose can weaken and rupture when it's exposed to cold temperatures, especially when you start the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the hose ruptures, you might need to steer your vehicle with more force, especially at slow speeds. This could be harder to do, especially in parking lots or on slippery roads, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Chrysler dealer will replace the power steering hose, steel tube, and power steering oil cooler with new parts, all at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
