What Happened
The wheel bolts on your left side may not be tightened properly, which could cause them to come loose over time.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts come loose, your wheel could detach from your vehicle while driving, making it harder to control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will tighten the wheel bolts securely and replace them if necessary – all at no cost to you. Look for a recall notice and schedule the repair as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2019 X5 xDrive50i and X7 xDrive40i vehicles. The left side wheel bolts may have been insufficiently tightened and may loosen over time.

Loose bolts may allow a wheel to detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace and tighten the left side wheel bolts, free of charge. The recall began July 16, 2019. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
