What Happened
The head airbags in your X7 are designed to protect you and your passengers in the event of a crash. In some 2019 models, these airbags may not have been properly installed.
Risk if Unfixed
If an accident happens, the airbags might not deploy correctly, which could leave you and your passengers at risk of serious injury.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will check the airbags and reinstall them if needed, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair once you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2019 X7 xDrive40i and X7 xDrive50i vehicles. The driver and passenger head air bags may not have been properly aligned with the trim during installation.

The head air bags may be impaired during deployment, increasing the risk of injury.
Original — Remedy
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, reinstall the head air bags, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
