SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The integrated brake system in your vehicle includes the rotor and shaft that help you stop safely. In some 2020-2021 BMW models, these parts may not have been properly welded, which could cause them to separate during hard braking.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rotor and shaft separate while you're braking hard, you could lose your ABS and braking assistance. This could make it harder to stop your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty brake system with a new one at no cost to you. You'll receive a notification letter with instructions, and you should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
