SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The integrated brake system in your vehicle is made up of a rotor and shaft that work together to help stop your car when you press the brake pedal. In some 2020-2021 models, these components might not be welded properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the ABS (anti-lock system) and your car's emergency brake assist could fail, making it harder to stop your vehicle quickly and safely. This increases the risk of a crash, especially in emergency situations.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the integrated brake system with a new one at no cost to you. The repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice from BMW.
