What Happened
The power front passenger seat in your vehicle has a mechanism to stop it from moving forward too far, but it was made incorrectly and might not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seat can move too far forward, you could get hurt in a crash because you won't be properly restrained.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will check the seat stops on both front seats to make sure they're working correctly. If not, they'll fix them for free, so schedule a visit as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
VOLVO IS RECALLING CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH POWER FRONT PASSENGER SEATS. THE FRONT SEAT RAIL'S DETECTION SYSTEM WAS MANUFACTURED INCORRECTLY AND MAY PERMIT THE PASSENGER TO FORWARD THE SEAT BEYOND THE INTENDED MAXIMUM.
