What Happened
Your vehicle's steering gear, which helps you control the direction of your car, might have a problem with a small part called a drive bushing. This part isn't assembled correctly or is missing, which could lead to a loss of steering control.
Risk if Unfixed
If your steering control is lost, you may not be able to steer your vehicle safely, which could cause a crash and potentially harm you or others.
Free Fix
Volkswagen will replace the steering gear for free. They'll do this at a dealership, and you don't have to pay a thing. You should contact them at 1-800-893-5298 to schedule an appointment.
