Critical #25V823000 Plain English
Component

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:ELECTRIC:CONTROL MODULE

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module in your vehicle is the computer that helps assist your brakes when you need them most. In some 2025 Lincoln and Ford models, this module might not work properly while you're driving or using certain advanced safety features.
Risk if Unfixed
If the EBB module fails, you could lose power brake assist while driving, which would make it harder to stop your vehicle. This could increase your stopping distance and the risk of a crash, especially when using safety features like adaptive cruise control.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will replace the faulty Electronic Brake Booster module with a new one, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed on February 26, 2026.
