What Happened
The Image Processing Module A in your vehicle is a computer system that helps you see what's behind your car when you're in reverse, and also assists with features like automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. In certain 2022-2025 Lincoln models, this system could suddenly stop working, leaving you without a rearview camera image and some safety features.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you might not see a child or a car behind you, which could increase the risk of a crash or a collision. You could be less aware of potential hazards, making it harder to avoid accidents.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the software for your Image Processing Module A, or Ford may send an update directly to your vehicle over the airwaves, at no cost to you. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
