What Happened
The steel wheels on your Jeep Gladiator or Wrangler are designed to hold your vehicle's weight and provide traction on the road. However, in some 2026 models, the walls of these wheels might be too thin, making them prone to cracking or breaking.
Risk if Unfixed
If your wheel cracks or detaches while driving, you could lose control of your vehicle, which increases the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Jeep dealer will inspect and replace the wheel and valve stem, if necessary, at no cost to you. Just follow the instructions in the recall notice and schedule the repair as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Gladiator and Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The walls for the steel wheels may be too thin, allowing them to crack or detach, which can result in a loss of vehicle control.

Dealers will inspect and replace the steel wheels and valve stems, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 4, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 05D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 23, 2026.
