What Happened
The frame of your Jeep Wrangler has a crucial component called the frame stud, which holds the fuel tank in place. In some 2020-2022 models, this stud can crack and puncture the fuel tank during a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel tank is damaged, it can leak fuel into the engine compartment. If there's an ignition source nearby, this could cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your Jeep dealer will inspect the frame stud and fix or replace it, and also apply new paint to prevent future damage – all free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
