Component
POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Manufacturer
CHRYSLER LLC
What Happened
Your vehicle's automatic transmission doesn't have a warning system to alert you if the transmission fluid gets too hot. This is a problem because your Jeep Wrangler has a automatic transmission.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fluid boils over, it could catch fire and cause serious damage to your engine or exhaust system.
Free Fix
Don't worry, the fix is free! Your dealership will install a warning light and a chime in your instrument cluster to alert you if the transmission fluid gets too hot, so you can take care of it before it becomes a bigger issue.
