FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL Safety Recalls

Critical #22V406000 Plain English
Component

FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
The high-pressure fuel pump in your diesel engine is a small but crucial part that delivers fuel to your engine. In some 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2014-2019 Ram 1500 models with 3.0L diesel engines, this pump can fail and send debris into the fuel system.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails, debris could enter your fuel system and cause your engine to starve for fuel, suddenly losing power while you're driving. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will replace the faulty high-pressure fuel pump and inspect other fuel system components, replacing them if needed, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
