The high-pressure fuel pump in your vehicle sends fuel to your engine. In certain 2014-2018 and 2015-2017 models, this pump could fail without warning.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails while you're driving, your engine will suddenly shut off, losing power steering and brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will replace the faulty high-pressure fuel pump with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive your recall notice.
