FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL Safety Recalls

Critical #22V406000 Plain English
Component

FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
What Happened
Your vehicle's high-pressure fuel pump is like a super-precise espresso machine that delivers diesel fuel to your engine. In some 2014-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2014-2019 Ram 1500 models with 3.0L diesel engines, this pump can fail and introduce tiny metal bits into the fuel system.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, your vehicle could lose power while driving, making it hard to control. This could increase the risk of a crash, so it's essential to address this issue as soon as possible.
Free Fix
Your authorized dealer will replace the faulty high-pressure fuel pump and inspect other fuel system components to ensure everything is working properly. This repair is free, and you'll receive a notification letter with instructions on how to schedule the fix.
