What Happened
The heating and cooling system in your front seats is controlled by electric heater elements. In some 2001-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee models, these elements could get too hot.
Risk if Unfixed
If the heater elements overheat, they could catch fire or cause a burn injury while you're driving.

Your dealer will replace the faulty heater elements for free. Schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety.

CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 103,409 MY 2001-2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE VEHICLES WITH HEATED SEATS AND WITH CHRYSLER RECALL NO. 06V-197 COMPLETED (03-04 MY) OR SEAT HEATER ELEMENTS SERVICE REPLACEMENT (01-02 MY). THE FRONT SEAT ELECTRIC HEATER ELEMENTS COULD OVERHEAT.

What Happened
The heated seat in your vehicle has an electric element that gets warm when you turn on the seat heater. In some cases, this element can get too hot and malfunction.
Risk if Unfixed
If the heated seat element overheats, it could catch fire, which is a serious safety risk.

Your dealer will replace the faulty heated seat element with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
