PARKING BRAKE Safety Recalls

Critical #15V464000 Plain English
Component

PARKING BRAKE

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The parking brake in your vehicle is the system that stops your car from rolling when you're parked on a slope. In certain 2015 Ford vehicles, this system might not fully engage when you press the brake.
Risk if Unfixed
If your parking brake doesn't fully engage and you park on a slope, your car could roll away – even if you're in gear. This could cause a crash if the car rolls into another vehicle or object.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will check the parking brake system and replace the faulty part if necessary, all at no cost to you. Just wait for the recall notice and schedule the repair when you get it.
