Component
BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The camera system in your vehicle helps you see behind your car when you're reversing. In some models from 2015 to 2019, this camera may show a distorted, fuzzy, or completely blank image.
Risk if Unfixed
If the rearview camera fails to show a clear picture, it could reduce your view behind your vehicle, making it harder to spot potential hazards and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will inspect the camera and replace it if necessary, at no charge to you. This fix will be rolled out in phases based on your vehicle's model and year, and you'll get a separate letter when it's ready.
