POWER TRAIN Safety Recalls

Critical #08V528000 Plain English
Component

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM)

Manufacturer
CHRYSLER LLC
What Happened
The Power Train Control Module (PCM) is the brain of your car's automatic transmission. It's like a computer that helps your car shift gears smoothly. In some 2009 models, a new adhesive used to make the PCM can cause it to break.
Risk if Unfixed
If the PCM breaks, your car's engine could stall without warning while you're driving — this could cause a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the broken PCM with a new one, free of charge. You'll get a notification letter, but if you have any questions, you can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
