AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW

Manufacturer
General Motors LLC
What Happened
The side airbags in your vehicle are designed to deploy in a side impact to protect you and your passenger. However, in your 2008-2013 Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, 2009-2013 Chevrolet Traverse, or 2008-2010 Saturn Outlook, the wiring that controls these airbags could be damaged, causing them to malfunction in a crash.
Risk if Unfixed
If the side airbags and seat belt pretensioners don't deploy in a side impact, you and your passenger could be at risk of serious injury — the impact could be much more severe without these safety features.
Free Fix
Your dealer will fix the problem by replacing the faulty wiring connections with new, soldered connections, and it will be done free of charge. You'll get a notice from GM with instructions on how to schedule the repair.
