What Happened
The air bag in your driver's seat is designed to inflate in a crash to protect you. In some 2014-2017 Buick Enclaves, Chevrolet Traverses, or GMC Acadias, the inflator could malfunction and explode during deployment.
Risk if Unfixed
If the air bag inflator explodes, sharp metal fragments could fly towards you and the other passengers, causing serious injury or even death.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty air bag module with a safe one, at no cost to you. You should schedule the replacement as soon as you get the recall notice.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles. The driver's air bag inflator may explode during deployment, due to a manufacturing defect.

What Happened
The driver's airbag in your Enclave, Traverse, or Acadia is the part that deploys to protect you in a crash. Unfortunately, some of these airbags were made with a faulty component that could fail when deployed.

If the airbag inflator explodes while you're driving, sharp metal fragments could fly into the driver's seat and cause serious injury or even death.

What Happened
The side curtain air bags in your vehicle are designed to protect you and your passengers from head and chest injuries in the event of a rollover. However, in some 2010-2015, 2017 Buick Enclaves, 2010-2019 Chevrolet Traverses, and 2011-2016 GMC Acadias, these air bags may not be securely attached.
Risk if Unfixed
If the side curtain air bags are not properly attached, they might not deploy correctly in a rollover — which could leave you and your passengers more vulnerable to serious head and chest injuries.
Free Fix
Your dealer will inspect the air bag attachment and, if needed, realign or replace the weld nuts, all at no cost to you. You should schedule this inspection as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed on May 24, 2021.

What Happened
The tires on your 2015 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, or GMC Acadia are made by Goodyear and have a unique design. In some cases, these tires may crack in the tread, which can lead to a loss of air pressure and potential tire failure.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tire treads crack and you lose air pressure, you may feel a vibration or your vehicle may pull to one side. If the tire fails completely, you could lose control of your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the potentially faulty tires with new ones, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 14, 2015, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 20, 2015, and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 16, 2015, and all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires. These vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or Less."
