VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
BMW is recalling certain 2026 X5, X5 Plug-in Hybrid, and X7 vehicles because the windshield might not be sealed properly, allowing water to get inside the car's electrical systems.
Risk if Unfixed
If water gets into the electrical components, it could cause the headlights to fail, making it harder to see while driving, and potentially leading to a crash. There's also a risk of an electrical fire while parked or driving.
Free Fix
BMW will inspect the windshield seal for free, and if there's a leak, they'll fix it and replace any necessary parts, all at no cost to you.
