What Happened
The integrated brake system in your vehicle is a critical safety feature that helps you stop quickly and safely. In some 2020-2021 models, the rotor and shaft within this system may not have been welded properly, which could cause them to separate during hard braking.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, you could lose the Antilock Brake System (ABS) and braking assistance, making it harder to stop your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially on the highway or when driving at high speeds.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the entire integrated brake system for free, as soon as you schedule an appointment. This repair is necessary to ensure your safety on the road.
