What Happened
Your vehicle's fuel supply line may become porous and leak fuel, which could start a fire if there's an ignition source nearby.
Risk if Unfixed
If your fuel supply line leaks, it could catch fire and cause a serious accident or injury.
Free Fix
Audi will fix this issue for free by installing a fuel pressure damper, and the repair will be done at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Audi A8 and S8 vehicles. The fuel supply line for the high pressure fuel pump may become porous and leak fuel.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, increases the risk of fire.
Original — Remedy
Audi has notified owners, and dealers will install a fuel pressure damper, free of charge. The recall began February 21, 2019. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 20BM.

If a fuel leak happens near a source of ignition, there's a higher risk of a fire.

Audi will replace the fuel line for free, and you'll be contacted to schedule the work, which will start on July 20, 2018.
